SAM FARRAWAY STATEMENT: MCPHILLAMYS GOLD MINE

I welcome today’s announcement by the Leader of The Nationals David Littleproud, that an elected Coalition Government will get on and approve the McPhillamys Gold Mine in Blayney.

The Federal Labor Government have ignored state and federal departments advice, as well as the Orange Aboriginal Land Council, all of which agreed the mine should be approved.

Instead, Labor have turned their backs on the people of Blayney and stripped the opportunity to have 800 good paying jobs located right here in Central West NSW.

My commitment to the people of the Central West is, if elected, I will do everything in my power to get this mine approved.
