Molong Bowling Club is set to receive a welcome upgrade with a $9,300 grant from the NSW Government to refurbish the Club’s playground area.
NSW Nationals Upper House MP Sam Farraway said the funding will help the Club to get back on its feet following the impacts of COVID-19 on patronage.
“The Molong Bowling Club is an incredibly valuable facility that brings together local families, sporting teams and volunteers from across the local community,” Mr Farraway said.
“This funding will help the Club finish off improvements to their playground area, making the club more family friendly.”
“Better sport and recreation facilities make it easier for the community to get involved in physical, healthy and active lifestyles. I look forward to seeing these works complete and the Club returned to its full potential.”
“The new playground means parents can relax, play bowls and catch up with friends while their kids have a safe place to play.”
Molong Bowling Club Treasurer Yvonne Clyde said that this investment would help the Club recover from recent natural disasters.
“As a result of floods in November 2021, Molong Bowling Club applied for a State Government Grant to assist us in the re-establishment of our children’s Playground.
“We appreciate the assistance we received from the NSW Government, especially Sam Farraway, in helping us obtain this Grant of $9300, which will cover the costs of underlay, fencing, a shade cloth and concrete.”
“It’s no doubt that this investment will help the Club offer parents and children upgraded facilities, making our local bowling club a great place to catch up with family and friends.”
